Final Reflection6/8/2018 Before taking the digital photography class I knew very little about camera or taking great pictures. My knowledge reached about as far as using the rule of thirds, which I learned in video class. As far as photoshop was concerned I had only heard the name. Early on I found I had a natural gift for “lucky shooting,” I would take lots and lots of photos and certain takes would accidentally look professional. However, without any “training” I wasn’t good at lining up a shot and taking a great photo. Over the course of the class my knowledge of photo taking, photoshop, and the camera has drastically increased. As a student photographer I took advantage of the many opportunities to take photos and learn as much as possible about photoshop. I found that even with photoshop at my disposal I often would try to avoid it, setting and taking photos multiple times to create images that needed little to no editing. I took pride in my growing ability as a photographer and tried to take interesting and creative photos. Even if I didn’t use photoshop regularly for individual assignments, I still made sure if photoshop was in play, I would have taken advantage of all the skills I had picked up to craft my images. As a photographer I’ve grown a lot over the few months class and plan to continue taking photos as a hobby I’ve picked up because of the class.
