Photo 4 - Architecture5/14/2018 For the architecture shoot when to Ann Arbor and took photos of local buildings. Original. Shutter Speed 1/1000. Aperture F/3.4. ISO 320. Edited. Changed adjustment layers, exposure, curves and picture sharpness. I noticed how difficult inner-city photo shoots due to signs and distractions that corrupted the background.

Photo Assignment 3: Nature5/7/2018 For photo assignment 3 I chose to do Nature. I captured nature images by utilizing zoom and aperture settings on the camera to balance the background with the foreground and lighting. My best photo is intended to represent leaving winter behind and focusing on spring by showing the bright flowers up close and leaving the dark bare trees in the background. Shutter Speed 1/1000. Aperture F/5.0. ISO 160. For this assignment I strayed away from focusing on Shutter Speed and favored Aperture and Zoom. I also attempted to set a fair ISO that works with the image and adds to the detail. I found myself favoring Zoom over the other camera tools during the shoot and relied on it to take photos of the trees.
Photoshop 4: School Context5/7/2018 For the school context assignment, I had to take a photo on campus and edit in images from pop culture and give them shadows. Using cutting and cropping tools I added in Groot, Bigfoot, and the Loch Ness Monster. I then had to duplicate Bigfoot and flip him around. Using shaders and the stamp tool I darkened the second Bigfoot and used it for the shadow of the original.
Photoshop 2 - Car Retouching4/30/2018 In this assignment we were given a photo of a car at a car show and had to edit out the background, change lighting reflection spots, and tint the windows. Before Retouching After Retouching
Photo 2 - Animal4/30/2018 For this assignment I went to different parks around saline and took photos of the natural wildlife. I focused on a pair of geese for the main subject and tried to capture their character. Shutter Speed, 1/320. Aperture F5.9. Zoom 100% / 80mm. During this project I learned to wait on developing shots. I had to wait for the geese in the photos to get close enough to take a good photo of them. I also learned how to use objects in the back and foreground to add substance to the shot.
Photo Inspiration 2 - Animal4/29/2018 For my second photo shoot, I plan to capture the natural wildlife around Saline's various parks. For this assignement I will be using a mix of faster shutter speeds and zooming techniques to capture the perfect image. I plan most of my photos will come from the high school pond and Millpond park. I would prefer to capture birds as seen above swimming, walking near water, or flying (if I can). I want the image to capture the animals personality and character traits throught movement.
Photo Assignment 1 - Event4/23/2018 Each week I need to take new photo with a different subject. For this week I chose the Event assignment. The Event photo is a picture that can tell a story but leaves room for viewer interpretation of the story. 1/2000 Shutter Speed. F5.0 Aperture. Changed Contrast and Brightness to sharpen image. Cropped background to further focus on subject and eliminate distractions. For this assignment I has to use many different F-stops and Shutter Speeds trying to get plenty of light on a fast moving subject. I learned that any shutter speed faster than 1/2000 darkens the image too much leaving not enough exposure.
Photoshop 1 PopArt4/19/2018 During the first photoshop assignment we had to take a picture with the Photo Booth application on our computers and edit it in photoshop to make four versions of the original photo in a multitude of colors. After the assignment I learned plenty of new tricks and photo editing options that can be utilized in photo editing. The most valuable trick I learned was filtering photos. In photography adding filters to certain photos can change their overall appearance. I may use filters when taking photos intended for the black and white or nature categories in our weekly photo.
